One exciting development in recent years is the introduction of "VERA" (Virtual Engineer Remote Access) this enables us to access your alarm system remotely.

The system uses a high security (10 million combinations) double password protected link and once our remote computer and your control panel have exclusively "handshaked" no other access is possible. All sessions have an audit trail and details are recorded in the control panel log along with a date and time stamp for added security.

Think of it as an "Electronic Toolbox" that we can send down the telephone line !  Once online it's possible to change or add new user codes, re-programme system features and carry out service checks and tests. Also if you forget to set the alarm we can even set it for you ! 

Some systems even have Automatic Remote Maintenance - the alarm system checking itself then calling our Maintenance PC when a problem is detected.

Remotely diagnosing problems reduces our costs which helps us to be very  competitive, and you the customer benefit from a faster and more convenient service by not having to wait in for an engineer.

Also if you are away and relying on good neighbours to assist after a problem or an activation they too are not inconvenienced by having to wait for an engineer - we can take charge of the situation - remedy it - and set the alarm for them, thus minimising their involvement.
