This is one of the most popular keypads that we install - chosen for it's neat looks and ease of operation. It is very modern and discrete and has a backlit liquid crystal display so it can still be easily read in power cut situations of if the keypad is sited in an area of reduced light - perhaps even inside a cupboard.
Most options are selected by the “Tick for Yes” and “Cross for No” keys located under the flap along with the numerical keys for entering your code.
The plain English text display makes commands like "Unset now?" or "Exit now" or "Zone open: Lounge" or "Mains failure" very easy to understand.
An optional proximity reader can “future proof” the system inasmuch as if you wish to activate 24hr monitoring with Level 1 Police response you can easily meet the new regulations that require you to use a keyfob instead of a code.
Operation
Normal operation would be on leaving the house you enter your code and select the “A for All” button – this sets the whole system. On returning you enter by the front door which starts the entry bleeper – you then enter your code - the alarm is then unset.
At night you press the “B for Bed” button and the alarm switches off any upstairs detectors and sets silently so as to not disturb any early bedders.
The additional “C” and “D” buttons can be easily configured to omit other areas for example “C for Cat” or “C for Car” if the garage is to be covered or “D for Dog”.
Personal Attack Facility
Sometimes known as "PA's" or "Personal Attack buttons" these are used to activate the alarm manually and are available 24hrs a day irrespective of whether the alarm is set or not. All our keypads incorporate a PA facility activated by pressing two numbers at the same time.
