Secure Alarm Signalling for 21st Century Networks

Emizon 21 is the very latest in dual path signalling devices. Using your existing broadband IP (Internet Protocol) connection and the Vodafone GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) as backup to send alarm signals to the Alarm Receiving Centre it does not need a separate phone line and there are no call charges on either path.

Compatible with the new BT 21st Century Network for Home and Business being rolled out across the country this device will future proof your installation for years to come. BT are planning speeds of up to 24Mb on the new network.

Emizon, a new business providing the first secure, managed messaging service specifically for IP networks, was formally launched to the security and insurance industries. Originally conceived in 2002, it has been working with  (ARC's) Alarm Receiving Centres and various control panel manufacturers and software providers to bring this solution to the marketplace.

The service effectively gives end users, installers and ARCs the opportunity of embracing the benefits of IP monitoring within an inherently secure network solution. This means improved functionality, flexibility and cost effectiveness whilst still maintaining the security standards associated with ‘traditional’ dual path signalling services.

“The Emizon service provides a fully managed end-to-end service from the alarm panel to the ARC, something that has been a key requirement since IP was first mooted,” explains Bob Tuck, Emizon’s Managing Director. “We have taken this end-to-end approach in the securing, managing and delivery of messages across both fixed, Broadband/Internet and wireless, and GPRS IP networks."

“Emizon is about the practical application of leading edge technology to every day business,” he continues. “By working collaboratively across the industry with alarm panel manufacturers, ARCs and installers, our aim is to ensure that the industry embraces the potential of IP monitoring, whilst protecting the security needs of all our customers, both now and in the future.”

Emizon’s technology is designed to be future proof. “With IP becoming the universal protocol and business take-up of Voice Over IP (VOIP) services continuing to grow, this launch represents a key milestone in establishing Emizon as the alarm signalling service for 21st century networks,” Mr Tuck concludes.
