Dual Path Signalling, as recommended by Insurers and Police, means that if the telephone line develops a fault or if it is deliberately cut - the alarm signal will still get through to the Alarm Receiving Centre as it is sent over the GPRS and or the GSM mobile network.  Telephone line fails are reported to keyholders too.

In the unlikely event that both communication paths fail this is regarded as a Confirmed Alarm and Level 1 Police Response is invoked.

You may well get an increased discount on your Insurance Policy by using Dual Path Signalling.  Some Insurers will even subsidise the cost of installation !!

# Call charges are avoided because the primary signalling path is via radio however in the unlikely event that the radio path is unavailable then signals will be sent over the landline when a small charge will be incurred.

* Most calls are to 0870 numbers - BT Anytime package includes these free.
