Beware of these Scams
Postal scam. If you receive a card through your door from a company called PDS stating that they have a parcel awaiting delivery instructions and that you can contact them on 0906 6611911. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER, it is a mail scam from Belize, and each call just reaches a recorded message which costs you £15. Mobile phone scam. If your mobile phone rings just once and registers a missed call and the callback number is an 070xx number DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER, you will hear message saying the number is not in use and it will have cost you £1.
New neighbour scam. In the Clifton, Cotham and Redland areas a man is posing as a new neighbour is asking for £30 for his Electricity meter. People have been scammed recently so please beware. He is of Asian appearance.
Credit Card Skimming. Keep a close watch on your card when you pay for petrol and dont let it out of your sight and guard your PIN from prying eyes. Fraudsters are putting cards through skimming machines and spying on PIN entry to clone cards later.
